CERM Student Travel Grants
Dear ACS leaders in the Central Region,
We are delighted that we will be offering travel grants for graduate and undergraduate students. This information was communicated to the chemistry departments in the region, but we want to make sure that faculty and students are aware of this opportunity. We would appreciate your help with sharing with your local sections, particularly to faculty in your community.
Student travel grants are available for undergraduate and graduate students to attend CERM 2026. Each grant includes a registration fee waiver and a $300 cash award to help offset travel expenses. Students in the Cincinnati local section will receive a registration waiver only. There will be two or more travel grants available for each section.
Students may apply directly, and faculty may nominate students. Applications and nominations are due by August 31, 2026.
In your package, please include the student’s name/e-mail, institution, degree program, abstract for poster/talk if applicable, and (optionally) brief rationale for support. Please submit to Dr. Jay Eylem (eylem.j@pg.com) by August 31, 2026.

The preparations for the Central Regional Meeting 2026 (CERM 2026) of the American Chemical Society www.acscerm2026.org are in full swing. As a reminder, the call for abstracts will close on Monday, August 10th. Submit an Abstract
The meeting will include Career Day on November 14th, technical sessions, and a poster session, creating opportunities to share research, build professional networks, and engage with chemists from academia, industry, and government.
