We need you: Executive Committee 2026

We are preparing for elections to the Executive Committee. Please consider running for a position. We are happy to answer questions about the positions and responsibilities. Please feel free to reach out to Mark Waner (mwaner@jcu.edu) or anyone on the Executive Committee.

1. Chair-elect: Serves a three year cycle, starting as chair-elect, then chair and finally past-chair. The chair elect handles scheduling of the meeting program and past chair handles nominations for the election.
2. Secretary: A great entry level position. Primary responsisbility is taking minutes at executive committee meetings, as well as being the conduit for communications between the section and national.
3. Councilor: Serves as representative of the section to the councilor meetings held twice annually at the national ACS meetings. Travel costs provided.
4. Director: The current opening is for the director who handles the Morley award.
5. Trustee: Trustees have responsibility for oversight of the section endowment funds and their investment for growth.
